“Ora Developers” is developing a residential city in Iraq with an area of 61 million square meters.
Ora Developers has announced its project, the “Ali Al-Wardi City,” the largest residential city in Baghdad, Iraq. This project is part of the Iraqi government’s plan to create new residential cities outside city centers to address the urban housing crisis.
The agreement was sponsored and attended by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani. The contract for the new residential city was signed by Bankin Rekani, the Iraqi Minister of Construction, Housing, Municipalities, and Public Works, and Engineer Naguib Sawiris, the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Ora Developers Group.
The project aims to create a smart and environmentally friendly residential community that effectively integrates human needs and provides a unique experience for residents. It includes different types of housing units that cater to diverse segments of society, ranging from affordable units to luxury ones. The project’s vision includes providing essential services such as education, healthcare, social services, as well as entertainment and shopping facilities for both the city’s residents and neighboring areas.
The project is located approximately 25 kilometers southeast of Baghdad and 74 kilometers from Baghdad Airport. It covers a total area of 61 million square meters. It will provide over 100,000 housing units, along with extensive green spaces and gardens spanning over 5 million square meters. The city will offer all the technological amenities characteristic of smart cities, along with the application of the highest sustainability standards.
Engineer Naguib Sawiris, the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Ora Developers Group, said that this partnership with the Iraqi government is a significant turning point in their ongoing journey.
