Today, Nile Real Estate Development Company launched a groundbreaking engineering experiment with unique specifications, marking the first of its kind in Egypt and the region. The company commenced testing the load-bearing capacity of ‘Baryte’ for deep foundations with a capacity of 5,000 tons in its distinctive project ‘Nile Business City. This project is the largest vertical city in Africa, located in the heart of the New Administrative Capital. It is constructed with monumental engineering specifications executed by the Arab Contractors Company.
Engineer Mohamed Tahir, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nile Real Estate Development Company, stated that this experiment represents an unprecedented construction breakthrough, as it has not been repeated in any project worldwide with these specifications. He added, “In giant projects, the norm is for the Baryte test to have a load of 2,000 tons, but today, we are conducting it with a maximum load of 5,000 tons because we are facing a project that will not be repeated.
Tahir affirmed that Nile Business City, with this precise professional experiment and exceptional engineering specifications executed by the Arab Contractors Company, will set more records in the world of monumental construction. The project has previously witnessed the implementation of Egypt’s most significant excavation and foundation piles. This building will be the largest vertical city and the tallest twin tower in Africa, with the highest hotel on the continent.
On his part, Engineer Mahmoud Tahir, the CEO of Nile Real Estate Development Company, considered the experiment of loading Baryte piles in Nile Business City with these monumental specifications to be in line with the project’s status as one of the most significant landmarks in the New Administrative Capital.
