The Lake District:

The Lake District in Egypt is home to one of the largest lakes, sprawling across 10,000 sqm. The district offers a wide range of activities that the whole family can enjoy, such as shopping, kayaking (which is now available for the first time in New Cairo), a sports arena, and a kid’s park that includes a skate park and the Digger Hub.

The Lake District is the newest addition to Downtown Mivida, which features a diverse selection of dining and shopping options, including the Boulevard. The area also boasts several mixed commercial hubs, such as My Park, The Place, and Mivida Business Park, which cater to high-powered work environments. Additionally, international schools like Repton School and Europa Schule Neu Kairo (ESNK) are located in the vicinity.

Phi Salt Cave, bringing Siwa’s healing to Cairo:

Phi Salt Cave

Siwa is home to salt lakes that are beautiful and believed to have healing powers. These therapeutic properties are not limited to the salt baths or the unique salt lamps; simply inhaling the salty air, known as halotherapy, is also considered therapeutic.

Advocates of halotherapy claim that it can alleviate respiratory conditions such as asthma or bronchitis. Others assert it can absorb negative energy and treat skin issues such as psoriasis and eczema. Throughout Egypt, there are salt caves that offer this alternative therapy, from Taba to Giza. However, if you’re looking to try halotherapy in Cairo, the Phi Salt Cave is the best option.

Located in Heliopolis’ Sheraton district, the Phi Salt Cave was established by Dr. Turki Tarek in 2019. The cave is designed to look like an actual cave, with walls made of Siwan salt. “Because not enough people have had the chance to experience this therapeutic practice due to Siwa’s remote location,” Dr. Tarek tells #CairoScene, “I wanted to make it more accessible by bringing it to Cairo.”

Like gargling salt water or flotation tanks, halotherapy can be administered in a dry fashion, like Dr. Tarek’s salt cave. This is achieved through halogenerators that release microscopic salt particles into the air. After 45 minutes of relaxing in a bean bag and burying your feet in Siwan salt, you feel refreshed. Additionally, Phi Salt Cave occasionally hosts yoga classes to help you tackle any problem from multiple angles.

Cairo Jazz, cozy night life:

Cairo Jazz

Cairo Jazz Club is a popular venue in winter in egypt that offers two locations. The first location is in Agouza, a historic district in Cairo. This location is considered a landmark for its rich history and cultural significance. However, the venue is relatively small, and it allows indoor smoking, which may need to be more appealing to some visitors. The second location is in West Cairo, a relatively newer part of the city. This location offers more space with both indoor and outdoor areas. The indoor area is spacious and well-designed, with a stage for live performances. The outdoor area is equally impressive, with comfortable seating and a cozy ambiance. It’s worth noting that the music is usually played indoors at the West Cairo location. However, the indoor area has state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems that provide a great music experience. Overall, both locations offer a great atmosphere, live music, and delicious food and drinks, making Cairo Jazz Club a must-visit for anyone who loves music, food, and a good time.
